About Us Lead Pastor
John Trimble serves as our lead teaching pastor here at Grace Point. Born in Indiana, with his father in the accounting profession, John grew up in many different locations up and down the east coast before finally settling down in Greenville, South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clemson University. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant and serving six years in the accounting industry. In 2001, John surrendered to what he felt was the Lord’s calling on his life and came to Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters Degree in Pastoral Leadership. In 2002, John accepted the full time position of Youth Minister at Lakeside Baptist Church. John continued to serve Lake Ridge Bible Church in a variety of roles until his calling to Grace Point in March of 2010.
John and his wife Trish have been married since September of 1992 and have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Abby and Madeline. Trish is a registered nurse who loves to serve and minister to the patients and students that she comes in contact with, but is really looking forward to being a stay at home mom for the near future. John and Trish met at Clemson University and were married shortly after her graduation. They have both been and are still very sensitive to the Lord’s leading in their life, and desire to do His will only.
