Q: What does "Evangelical Free" mean?
A: The Evangelical Free denomination is an association of over 1300 churches and is dedicated to planting healthy churches world-wide. We are evangelical, meaning we believe the Bible is God's Word and an unfailing guide for faith and life. For a more detailed description please see Our Essentials. We are free, meaning that each local church is autonomous. However, we live with a healthy interdependence on the other churches in our association.
Q: How does someone begin a relationship to God?
A: In our culture there are many answers being given to this question. However, the Bible is very clear on this subject. A person comes into relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16-18, John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have never trusted in Christ for salvation, you can right now. Simply speak to God with honesty and admit that you need His forgiveness (Romans 3:23, Romans 10:9) and tell Him that you are trusting on what Jesus did on the cross for your sins. The Bible says that all who believe in Christ for salvation are freely given everlasting life (John 3:16). If you want to understand more about what it means to have a relationship with Christ please contact us. We would be thrilled to tell you all about it.
Q: Can I come dressed as I am, or do I need to dress up?
Come dressed in whatever you are comfortable in. God looks on the inside as His followers we'll do the same.
